News-Herald, Notice to Bidders Geauga County Public Library – Geauga West Branch Sealed Bids will be received at the office of Ms. Lisa Havlin, Deputy Fiscal Officer, Geauga County Public Library Administrative Center, 12701 Ravenwood Drive, Chardon, Ohio 44024, until 12:00 noon, current local time, on Friday, March 20, 2015, for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment of every nature necessary for the Parking Improvements. Bids will be opened and read aloud, immediately thereafter. A pre-bid meeting will occur at 1:00 pm, current local time on March 03, 2015, at the Geauga West Branch, Geauga County Public Library, 13455 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, Ohio 44026, to answer any questions regarding this project. The work covered by the Contract Documents consists of the Parking Lot Improvements including existing pavement demolition, removal of material off site and installation of new asphalt pavement. Bids shall be submitted using the prepared forms in the Bidding Documents. No bids will be considered unless made on these forms. Bids must be delivered in a sealed envelope marked prominently on the outside with the words “Geauga West GCPL Parking Improvements”. Before entering into a contract, the successful bidder will, within ten (10) working days, be required to furnish and pay for a “Performance Bond and Payment Bond”, written on AIA Document A312, in favor of the Owner, covering the faithful performance of the contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder, in the full amount of the contract sum, including alternates accepted. This bond shall remain in full force and effect for twelve (12) months after date of final acceptance of work by the Owner. Contractors shall pay all laborers, workmen, mechanics and other employees a rate of wages not less than the State Prevailing Wages set forth in this Project Manual, and further, shall comply strictly with the Prevailing Wage Laws in effect at the time of bidding this Project in accordance with the State of Ohio. The Contractor further agrees and warrants that each of the subcontractors have, and will, throughout the life of this Contract, comply in all respects with the Prevailing Wage Laws of Ohio, Ohio Revised Code Section 4115.01 et. seq. The Contractor shall be liable for Liquidated Damages for each calendar day beyond the date set for Substantial Completion as defined in the Supplementary Instructions to Bidders.
