News-Herald, RECYCLING OF HOUSEHOLD WASTE PRODUCTS II. Legal Notice Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Trustees in and for Concord Township, Lake County Ohio, at their office at 7229 Ravenna Road, Concord, Ohio 44077; up to the hour of 10:00 a.m., local time on March 4, 2014, and read publicly thereafter at the above address for the RECYCLING OF HOUSEHOLD WASTE PRODUCTS. Said work shall be in accordance with specifications and proposal forms on file with the Township Administrator of the Board of Trustees, and may be viewed and obtained at the Office of the Fiscal Officer, 7229 Ravenna Road or online at www.concordtwp.com. Basis of award will be the lowest, most responsible and/or best bid submitted and for the proposal option selected by the Trustees of Concord Township. Proposals shall be addressed to the Board of Concord Township Trustees, 7229 Ravenna Rd., Concord, Ohio 44077, and marked: “BID FOR RECYCLING OF HOUSEHOLD WASTE PRODUCTS.” The proposal must be accompanied by a bond for twenty percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, or a certified check, cashier’s check, or irrevocable letter of credit equal to 10 percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, drawn on a solvent bank located in Lake County, Ohio and payable to Concord Township, as surety that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured. Should any bid be rejected, said surety shall forthwith be returned to the bidder; and should any bid be accepted, such bid bond, certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit will be returned upon proper execution and securing of the contract. The Board of Concord Township Trustees reserves the right to hold bids for a period not longer than one hundred and twenty (120) days after the date of the bid opening, and/or to award the contract at any time during this period. The successful bidder will be required to execute a contract within ten (10) calendar days after the award of work, and shall furnish bond or surety, if not filed previously to the satisfaction of Concord Township, Lake County, Ohio, for the faithful performance of said contract in the sum of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. In case of failure to execute the contract as stated, or to furnish bond and/or surety, the bidder shall be considered to have abandoned the contract and then is liable for the difference between their bid and the next lowest bid, not to exceed ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to increase or decrease or omit any item, and/or to award to the lowest, most responsible and best bidder. Each proposal must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same and must be signed by an officer of the company or their legally authorized designee.
