News-Herald, INVITATION TO BID Sealed bids will be received by the office of the Director-Secretary of the Board of Park Commissioners of GEAUGA PARK DISTRICT, 9160 Robinson Road, Chardon, Ohio 44024-9148 until 10:30 am local time on April 14th, 2015 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read for the Headwaters Park Improvements. Plans and Specifications for the project can be obtained from Euclid Blue, 908 East 222nd Street, Euclid, Ohio 44123, 216-731-4662 www.euclidblue.com. Copies of bid documents will also be sent to The Builder’s Exchange and F. W. Dodge. No separate pages or sections of Bidding Documents will be issued. Complete sets of Bidding Documents must be purchased and used in the submission of bids. Each bidder shall submit with his bid a proposal bond or a certified check in the amount equal to ten (10%) percent of his total bid payable to Geauga Park District as surety that if said bid is accepted the bidder will enter into and satisfactorily secure a contract. The successful bidder is required to furnish within ten (10) days after written notification of bid acceptance a satisfactorily performance bond and payment bond in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price payable to Geauga Park District. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of bid opening. If not accepted within such period, said bid may be withdrawn. Successful bidders shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunities and be subject to the prevailing wage rates as provided for in Chapter 4115 of the Ohio Revised Code. All bids shall be received in sealed envelopes and clearly marked with the project title, Headwaters Park Improvements and contain the full name of the bidder. The Board reserves the right to accept separate bids on various items or work, or to accept any combination of bids, in whole or in part. The Board will award the Contract based on the lowest and best bid. Geauga Park District may reject any or all bids on any basis and without disclosure of a reason or to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received. The failure to make such a disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right, claim, or cause of action by any unsuccessful bidder against Geauga Park District.
