News-Herald, LEGAL NOTICE Sealed bids will be received by the Clerk of the Board of Lake County Commissioners at the Lake County Administration Center, 105 Main Street,4th Floor, Painesville, Ohio 44077-0490, until 11:00 a.m. current local time April 8, 2015, at which time they will be opened and read publicly for the following chemicals for the Lake County Department of Utilities: CHEMICAL DESCRIPTION QUANTITY UNIT 1. Activated Carbon 52,000 Pounds 2. Coagulant (Alum/Poly) 107,000 Gallons 3. Ferrous Chloride 345,000 Gallons 4. Hydrofluosilicic Acid 175,000 Pounds 5. Liquid Chlorine 13.5 Tons 6. Potassium Permanganate 15,000 Pounds 7. Sodium Bisulfite 24,000 Gallons 8. Sodium Hypochlorite 121,000 Gallons 9. Zinc Orthophosphate 84,000 Pounds Individual specifications and proposal blanks are available at the Lake County Department of Utilities, Second Floor, 105 Main Street, Painesville, Ohio, between the hours of 8:00 a.m., and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Proposals must be accompanied by an original bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, drawn on some solvent bank and made payable to the Treasurer of Lake County. Proposals should be addressed to Amy Elszasz, Clerk, Board of Lake County Commissioners, 105 Main Street, 4th Floor, Post Office Box 490, Painesville, Ohio 44077-0490, and be clearly marked with chemical being bid and the respective Water/Wastewater Treatment Facility. The Board of Lake County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid which it deems to be in the best interest of Lake County. Bid proposals shall be subject to the condition that the right is reserved to hold bids for a period not longer than sixty (60) days after date of opening and/or to award the bid contract at any time during that period. No bidder shall be considered a lowest and best bidder or eligible to be awarded the contract to which this Notice or Bid Specifications apply, if the bidder is listed on the Auditor of State’s Database as having a “Finding of Recovery” as that term is defined in R.C. 9.24.
