News-Herald, INVITATION FOR BIDS The Geauga Metropolitan Housing Authority (GMHA) is requesting bids for the complete maintenance of all emergency systems and related equipment at facilities located at 385 Center St., Chardon, Ohio, 44024, and 351 Lost Pond Pky., Chardon, Ohio, 44024. Bid proposals will be received by GMHA until 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 23,2015. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held by GMHA at its offices, 385 Center St., Chardon, Ohio, at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015, Bid Documents are available only at that location during regular office hours. No mail requests will be accepted. Bidders shall submit with their proposal evidence of Liability Insurance and current Certificate of Premium Payment for Ohio Workers Compensation. The effective dates of this contract will be from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2018. NOTICE OF CIVIL RIGHTS REQUIREMENTS Each bidder shall ensure compliance with the terms, conditions and requirements set forth under the “Notice of Civil Rights Requirements” and the “Notice of Affirmative Action Requirements” to ensure equal employment (Executive Order 11246, as amended) in such form as necessary to the GMHA prior to the award and throughout the life of the contract. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The GMHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received whenever such rejection is in the best interest of the Housing Authority.
